DiY - layers hair cut

my hair is growing and it's so bland and heavy.
so yesterday, I decided it's time to cut myself some layers.

this is a trick I learned from a salon in '97,
and used all throughout high school:
bend forward, and whip all your hair in front of your face.
you will notice a "V" shape along the bottom.
cut straight across, parallel to the ground using small snips
your scissors should be at a 45 degree angle for a natural look

that will layer your front pieces.
I went ahead and layers the sides/back as well,
using my own judgement..

now it's still got it's length, but light and airy for spring~
